We are seeking an experienced Business Unit Director to join our team! As a Business Unit Director, you will be a strategic leader who oversees the entirety of the business unit's operations, focusing on growth, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. This role requires a visionary leader adept at navigating the complexities of dedicated and shared service models to deliver comprehensive, high-value services to clients. The role is primarily focused on delivering services and driving growth within the public sector.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic direction of the business unit, setting clear objectives for growth, client retention, and profitability.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with key clients, understanding their business objectives and aligning our services to support their success.
  • Lead a multifaceted team of Account Managers, ensuring they have the tools and support needed to achieve individual and collective success within both dedicated and shared service frameworks.
  • Foster a collaborative relationship with the Services Director to ensure the optimal use of shared operational resources, balancing the needs of the business unit with broader organizational objectives.
  • Drive innovation within the business unit, leveraging technology, service enhancements, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge and deliver exceptional value to clients.
  • Oversee the financial management of the business unit, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, to ensure financial targets are met and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Champion the company's culture and values within the business unit, leading by example and fostering an environment of accountability, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Extensive experience in a senior management role within a complex, service-oriented business, ideally within the facilities management industry.
  • Proven experience working within the public sector, with a strong understanding of public sector procurement frameworks, governance, and stakeholder management.
  • Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, with demonstrable results in growing business units and achieving financial targets.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team towards achieving strategic objectives.
  • Strong client-facing skills, with experience in managing high-value client relationships and complex service agreements.
  • Advanced financial acumen, with expertise in budgeting, P&L management, and financial analysis.
