We are looking for an experienced Fleet Manager to join our business based in our newly renovated Head Office in Leeds. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for developing and executing a robust fleet management strategy, ensuring cost efficiency, supplier performance and compliance with regulatory standards. This role will involve overseeing and managing supplier relationships and optimising fleet operations to support our business objectives. This position is offered on a full time, permanent basis working Monday to Friday.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the supply chain.
  • Develop and implement an effective fleet strategy to optimise vehicle utilisation and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and disposal of company vehicles in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with legal, safety, and environmental regulations related to fleet operations.
  • Implement cost control measures, including fuel management, leasing strategies, and insurance negotiations.
  • Utilise fleet management software and analytics to monitor performance, efficiency, and maintenance schedules.
  • Develop and enforce policies for driver safety, training, and vehicle usage.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Proven experience in fleet management.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • In-depth understanding of supply chain management principles.
  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations, including vehicle leasing, maintenance, and compliance.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost control.

  • Proficiency in fleet management software.
  • Full UK Driving licence.
