About The Role

The Project Lead is responsible for leading and delivering large-scale operational change across the business, driving strategic initiatives that support the company’s continued growth and operational scalability. A key priority of the role will be overseeing the end-to-end mobilisation of new client contracts across up to 500 sites, ensuring a seamless transition from contract award to fully operational service delivery. This includes establishing structured mobilisation programmes, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring all sites are operationally ready at launch.

Beyond contract mobilisation, the Project Lead will lead and deliver wider transformation initiatives across the organisation. This includes improving operational processes, implementing scalable delivery frameworks, and driving projects that enhance efficiency, service quality, and organisational capability as the business continues to scale.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, end‑to‑end transformation programmes, managing multiple concurrent initiatives while overseeing planning, budgets, timelines, risks, and overall delivery to ensure successful execution and alignment with strategic business objectives.
  • Identify and deliver operational improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency, and service quality across the business.
  • Define project scope and deliverables while leading cross-functional teams and holding stakeholders accountable for commitments, ensuring coordinated execution and operational readiness across all departments.
  • Lead contract mobilisation programmes for new client wins across up to 500 sites, ensuring successful launch from contract award through to operational delivery.
  • Establish scalable mobilisation frameworks and processes that support the company’s continued growth.
  • Engage senior stakeholders, clients, internal teams, and external partners to ensure clear communication, transparent progress reporting, and strong alignment with project objectives and overall business goals.
  • Demonstrate the SBFM values and lead by example at all times.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Strong proven experience in project or programme management, ideally delivering large, complex, multi‑site initiatives.
  • Proven ability to mobilise or implement operational contracts within service‑based industries (e.g., facilities management, cleaning, hospitality, logistics or outsourcing).
  • Strong understanding of all aspects of project delivery including planning, governance, stakeholder management, risk management, and benefits tracking.
  • Skilled in creating visual dashboards, Gantt charts, and executive‑level presentations using Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to communicate clearly at all levels.
  • Confident managing multiple priorities and navigating fast‑moving environments.
  • Experience driving operational improvement and transformation initiatives working with cross‑functional and remote teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • A people‑person with a collaborative approach who thrives in high‑energy teams.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and financial tracking.
