THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for someone who will take pride in their role and work to the high‑quality standard that we set here at SBD. While technical skills and attention to detail are important, we place equal value on personality – energy, motivation, and a strong team spirit.

Quality Control roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Diligently complete all assigned production tasks, ensuring every product meets our high‑quality standards and adheres strictly to all safety processes.
  • Act as a key point of contact for operational teams, advising colleagues on product standards, specifications, and quality benchmarks.
  • Proactively identify and resolve quality issues, performing necessary trims and amendments to guarantee all requirements are met.
  • Contribute to our quality assurance framework by supporting internal audits and working to eliminate any potential for defects.
  • Take ultimate responsibility for customer satisfaction by ensuring all outgoing products are flawless, meet the required standards, and have full traceability.
  • Conduct daily product assessments from each production run, clearly communicating results and required actions to managers and team members.
  • Play a vital role in protecting business integrity by minimising waste and preventing losses associated with product recalls.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative spirit by providing support across all areas of the business as needed to maintain exceptional service levels.
  • Consistently meet daily quality control targets, departmental KPIs, and critical deadlines within a fast‑paced production environment.

SALARY: £26,520 per year

HOURS: 40 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 7am – 4pm, Friday 7am – 1pm)

LOCATION: Unit 2b Lanchester Way, Advanced Manufacturing Park, Waverley, S60 5FX
