We are looking for a driven Sports Marketing Assistant to join us as we continue to expand our global reach and meet the needs of our world class athletes.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Partnerships Director you will support in delivering and evolving the overall athlete experience. We place equal value on personality, a willingness to learn and succeed, and a strong team spirit.
Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Athlete Management
- Supporting the Partnerships Director in managing direct relationships with athletes, national teams, federations and events
- Implementing a talent ID programme, including monitoring competition results for upcoming strength athletes
- Review sponsorship requests
- Monitoring compliance with contracts and offering proactive guidance
- Coordinating on the release of new products and ranges with our athletes and supporting product order needs for our athletes and teams
- Event Management
- Organising SBD’s presence at domestic and international events
- Coordinating athlete and national team visits to the SBD Strength Facility
- Taking a lead role in staffing UK-based events, including powerlifting, strongman, and weightlifting competitions, as well as strength and fitness exhibitions
- Liaising with athletes regarding event appearances and ensuring all participants are fully briefed ahead of activation
- Working closely with the Commercial team to support retailer and partner presence at international events
THE SKILLS

- A strong interest in strength sports, including powerlifting, strongman, and weightlifting
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment
- Willing to travel within the UK and internationally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and social media platforms

- Good understanding of strength products and their application within training and competition environments
- Experience in athlete management, athlete relations, or athlete engagement
- Experience supporting events, activations, or marketing campaigns within sport, gym or fitness environments
