LOCATION: Wrekin Windows, Telford
HOURS OF WORK: Monday-Thursday: 8am-4.30pm & Fri 8am-1.30pm
REPORTS TO: Estimator
Job Purpose: To act as point of contact for both customers (Local Authorities/Contractors) and sub-contract fitting companies, in preparing documents for quotations.
Key Accountabilities:
- Prepare costs budgets and cost estimates for new tenders/quotes for Refurbishment and Newbuild.
- Using inhouse database to prepare detailed proposals for each client, adhering to client guidelines while offering competitive and comprehensive cost estimates.
- Input sizes from surveys and client drawings for windows and doors.
- Work with internal team on tendered/quoted projects.
- Keep detailed reports on all estimation documentation including correspondence from clients, emails; update any revised tenders/quotations immediately upon receipt of new documentation.
- Working closely with colleagues in order processing and contracts to ensure that specification is checked and agreed.
- Update enquiry log and print off/prepare new files.
- Raise Pricing Notes once contract has been awarded.
- Carry out various tasks/projects as directed by the Estimating Supervisor.
Key Experiences:
- Experience within a similar role or administrative experience would be preferable.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and confident using email.
- Able to accurately input data.
- Able to communicate at all levels with good negotiating skills.
- Confident in using the telephone.
Desirable Skills, Qualifications and Experience Required:
- Must be numerate and able to produce spreadsheets.
- Able to work through available information and provide recommendations/solutions to resolve issues.
- Able to plan and prioritise own workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
- Organise information received to ensure efficient and accurate response.
- A general knowledge of the replacement window industry would be useful although not essential.
