The Demand Planner will work within the UK & Ireland Operations & Supply Chain team based in Kingston Upon Thames, London to gather, analyse, record & track finished goods demand within UK & Ireland. The role works alongside the commercial, supply planning, customer service and marketing teams. Ensure the latest finished goods demand plan is accurately reflected in Atlas forecasting system and changes are well analysed, to drive forecast accuracy and optimal inventory, working with supply planner and cross functional teams to ensure customer demand is met. The role involves occasional travel to Ireland and Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, analyse and track forecasts received from both sales team and system autogenerated to ensure supply planning & importing of goods is supported by the latest demand information.
  • Support the development and implementation of improved forecasting through S&OP process.
  • Regularly check for slow moving and obsolete finished good risks, report and follow up by actively working with sales team.
  • Hold frequent forecast reviews with individual sales team members, proactively identify, communicate, and follow up on significant trends and demand changes to achieve optimum finished goods inventory within the network.
  • Maintain forecast demand within Atlas planning system so the system holds the latest details and supports operational plans.
  • Build excellent working relationship with commercial, marketing and finance team members.
  • Regularly check for potential stock-outs due to change in demand / delay in supply. Take immediate action to ensure product availability by following up with relevant teams.
  • Closely work with new product development team to support new product launch plans and timelines.
  • Lead the demand review meeting and support S&OP Director in holding the different meetings of the S&OP process and regularly publish forecasting performance metrics.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Established demand planning experience within FMCG.
  • Strong working knowledge of forecasting & ERP systems.
  • Must have strong understanding of S&OP processes and demand planning factors.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Able to adapt and thrive in an entrepreneurial and rapidly changing environment.
  • Keen sense of urgency and of responsibility.
  • Must be a collaborator and demonstrate successful experience working in a cross functional environment with excellent communication skills.
  • Must have strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently, achieve goals and meet timelines.
