Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Goods Out / Warehouse Operative with a UK Driving License. Our client is a well-established furniture manufacturer based in Dewsbury, they offer an opportunity to join a great team in a pleasant work environment. Reporting to the Transport Manager. You will work in the Goods Out area of the warehouse, getting goods ready for delivery to customers. You will also move stock between 2 local sites, using the company van. Job Purpose: To prepare furniture for delivery to customers, quality inspecting them and ensuring they are adequately wrapped so they’re not damaged in transit. Moving stock between 2 local sites in the company van. Logging all stock activity onto the computer system. Take care, to move product and furniture around without causing any damage. To complete work to a high-quality standard, whilst meeting deadlines. To observe company operational procedures / standards and individual customer requirements. To observe Health and Safety regulations, being careful to look after yourself and others whilst at work. Work with supervisors and management to implement plans for continuous improvement in the factory and comply with the manufacturing and Quality standards required. To respond positively to any reasonable management request as required, in the overall management and development of the Factory. Experience and skills required: Full UK driving license and willingness to drive company vehicle. Good level of fitness and ability to lift furniture all day every day. Previous experience of using a work computer system to understand orders in progress. Excellent timekeeping and attendance. To work with all staff in maintaining 5s standards, and operate a 'clean as you go' regime aimed at providing an 'any visit, any time' standard. Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 07.45am – 5pm / Friday 7.45am – 4.30pm (43.25hrs per week) Pay: £13.25 per hour (£29,799.25 per annum) Regular overtime available 12 week temp to perm If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, please apply with a copy of you CV and we’ll be in touch to discuss the role in more detail
