Job description Our client is a West Yorkshire-based firm of chartered accountants, with successful offices in Leeds, Wakefield and Halifax looking to recruit a Tax Consultant. About the role We are seeking an experienced Tax Professional to lead our Tax Department and support Partners/Managers in fulfilling the service requirements of our Client Portfolio. The role will focus on the Management of the Personal Tax Compliance Cycle. The role includes a range of ad hoc advice to our portfolio of Individuals, Trusts, Partnerships, LLP’s, as well as supporting other managers in Corporate Tax Compliance. This role is ideal for a newly qualified Tax Adviser or an experienced Tax Adviser looking for their next career move. About you * You are from a professional services background and are experienced in the provision of tailored advice, including both Personal and Corporation Tax. * Experienced in the delivery and management of Personal Tax Compliance Services. Responsibilities * Completion of Self-Assessment Tax Returns for a wide range of Individuals, Partnerships and Trusts * Completion of Associated Tax Computations * Preparation of P11D’s * Assistance with the Preparation of Corporate Tax Computations * Ensure technical competence and accuracy of computations where required * Adherence to statutory and other deadlines * Liaising extensively with clients in relation to day-to-day Compliance and Planning Issues * Identification of Tax Planning opportunities * Expectation to support the development of more junior staff in their training. * Support ad hoc client engagements in respect of Tax Advisory requirements Schedule: * Monday to Friday Experience: * Tax: 2 years (required) Work Location: In person Job Type: Full-time Pay: £45,000.00-£60,000.00 per year Additional pay: * Performance bonus Benefits: * Company pension * Free on-site parking * Life insurance * Annual Leave Purchase Scheme Schedule: * Flexitime – Flexible working around core hours May be willing to consider Sub Contract: £250 – £350 per day If you have the skills and experience, we are looking for, please apply with an up-to-date CV and we’ll be in touch to discuss this exciting opportunity in more detail
