Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client, to recruit a full time, permanent Accounts Manager, to join their friendly, professional team in their Halifax office.
We are looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Manager to take ownership of client relationships and support the development of our team. To manage and be involved in the preparation and review of client’s year end accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders, ensuring compliance with standards and regulations and mentoring the junior accountants.
Key responsibilities
- Preparation and review of statutory accounts for limited companies
- Preparation and review of corporation tax computations and returns
- Reviewing VAT returns and management accounts
- Acting as the main client contact, providing advice and support
- Managing, mentoring and reviewing the work of the junior accountants
- Identifying opportunities for additional services and business development
Qualifications and skills
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and tax compliance
- Experience managing client relationships independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident using accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage)
Salary & Benefits:
Job Type: Full-time – 37.5 hrs p/w - Flexitime - Flexible working around core hours
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per year, negotiable dependant on experience.
