A Communications and Marketing Manager is required to lead a talented team for an incredible independent charity in Elland. As Communication and Marketing Manager, you will be in a key leadership role, shaping and protecting how the charity communicates with supporters, staff, and the wider community. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, Communications and Marketing, you will plan, develop and lead all communication and marketing activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead planning and delivery of all communications and marketing activity
- Co-developing the annual communications and marketing plan
- Ensure all activity reflects the organisational values
- Confident leadership of an experienced and competent team
- Encourage creativity whilst protecting currently successful practices
- Responsible for brand integrity, engagement of all materials and digital communications to ensure they are engaging, accurate and aligned with brand guidelines
- Lead the refreshed brand identity, ensuring smooth, professional transition across all sites and channels
- Manage key organisational priorities, capital investment, retail operations, ensuring cohesive and high-quality approach across all teams and sites
- Bi-annual newsletter creation
- Annual reports and accounts focused on the community impact as the key audience
- Storytelling culture for impactful stories, are the heart of the charity communications, demonstrating the impact and supporting income generation.
We are looking for:
- A minimum of 3 years marketing and communications experience
- A minimum of 2 years leadership and management experience
- Understanding and experience of collaboration across service, operations and community
- Passionate about charity, hospice care, non-profit sectors and understanding of the complexity of communications
- Experience in design packages including Adobe Creative Cloud
This incredible charity offers a great career to its employees, with ongoing training and development. This is a 37.5 hours working week, which will include occasional weekends or evenings due to events and preparation.
