Sayjo Recruitment are acting on behalf of a client to recruit an Accounts Office Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position, working 36 hours over 5 days a week in the Elland office. We are looking for a highly organised Accounts Office Manager to support financial operations across the Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily banking: update cash book, monitor payments, process card receipts for internet sales, trade counter sales and staff canteen.
- Produce reports and provide financial analysis for Directors.
- Process expenses, staff mileage, and company card applications.
- Authorise payments and manage online banking.
- Monthly VAT analysis, petty cash, commission statements, and bank reconciliations.
- Weekly statement reconciliation and fuel invoice checking.
- Quarterly commission statements and debit notes.
- Support vehicle MOT/tax reminders and toll account checks.
- Open all incoming post.
- Oversee credit control and provide cover for holidays.
- All company credit control activities.
- Customer stop lists and debt write-offs.
- Liaise with brokers and insurers regarding credit limits.
- Place customers on stop and write off bad debts when required.
About You
- Strong accounts/finance administration experience.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Previous experience of managing a small accounting team.
- Able to manage a varied workload and work independently.
- Competent with accounting systems, online banking, and Microsoft Office including good working knowledge of Excel.
- Able to work in the office in Elland, 5 days a week (this role does not allow for working from home).
- Trustworthy, honest, reliable and able to keep financial matters confidential.
