Sayjo Recruitment Ltd are acting on behalf of a client to recruit a Finished Goods Quality Inspector. Our client is a well-established company based in Dewsbury, they offer an opportunity to join a great team in a pleasant work environment. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role requires you to take all finished goods and get them quality checked ready to be dispatched. It's a physically demanding role, our client manufactures furniture, which will need wrapping and moving within the factory.

Job Purpose:

  • There are no Fork Lift Trucks on the shop floor, which means all finished products need to be moved manually.
  • Take care, to move furniture without causing any damage and wrap them to protect them in transit.
  • To complete work to a high-quality standard, whilst meeting deadlines.
  • To work with the production team to achieve the production schedule.
  • To observe company operational procedures / standards and individual customer requirements.
  • To get finished items, from the manufacturing area, quality inspected, wrapped and stored to fulfil orders ready for dispatch.
  • To observe Health and Safety regulations, being careful to look after yourself and others whilst at work.
  • Work with supervisors and management to implement plans for continuous improvement in the factory and comply with the manufacturing and Quality standards required.

Experience and skills required:

  • Excellent timekeeping and attendance.
  • Good level of fitness and ability to lift furniture all day every day.
  • To work with all staff in maintaining 5s standards and operate a 'clean as you go' regime aimed at providing an 'any visit, any time' standard.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 06.30am – 4.45pm

Pay & Benefits: £13.00 per hour. Regular overtime available:

  • First 2hrs x T1/3 (paid after 39 hours)
  • Thereafter T2/3
  • Sunday Double Time
