Operating throughout the commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and public sectors, we deliver a diverse range of mechanical installation projects for many prestigious and long-standing clients.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager / Project Manager to join our team and play a key role in delivering high-quality projects across Yorkshire and the wider UK.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and commercially aware individual looking to take ownership of multiple projects within a supportive and well-established business. You will be responsible for managing mechanical building services projects from initial handover through to completion, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery
- Manage multiple mechanical building services projects simultaneously.
- Coordinate labour, materials, subcontractors and plant resources.
- Develop and maintain project programmes.
- Monitor project progress and resolve delivery challenges.
- Ensure successful commissioning, handover and project close-out.
- Commercial Management
- Manage project budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
- Identify and agree variations with clients.
- Monitor procurement and subcontractor performance.
- Maximise project profitability whilst maintaining quality standards.
- Support monthly commercial reporting and cost reviews.
- Health, Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and statutory regulations.
- Review and manage RAMS and site documentation.
- Undertake regular site visits and inspections.
- Promote a positive safety culture throughout project delivery.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained across all projects.
- Client Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Attend progress meetings and provide project updates.
- Identify opportunities for repeat business and contract growth.
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Proven experience managing mechanical building services projects.
- Strong HVAC and mechanical installation knowledge.
- Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- HNC/HND or Degree in Building Services or Mechanical Engineering.
- NVQ Level 3 Heating and Ventilation.
- SMSTS, IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent.
- CSCS Management Card.
- Experience working within healthcare, education or public sector environments.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
