Do you want to make a difference to the lives of young female survivors of sexual abuse? Could you help them develop the skills needed to cope with what has happened to them and build an independent life and positive future?
Are you passionate about the eradication of Men’s Violence against Women and Girls and women’s homelessness from a feminist perspective? As SAY Women’s Community Connector, you will be able to make a difference to the lives of the young women in our service.
The Community Connector will work directly with young women on both a one-to-one basis and within group settings to build connection, confidence, and community engagement. You will have an in-depth understanding of sexual violence and its links to homelessness, and use this knowledge to provide trauma-informed support. In this role, you will help young women strengthen their social networks and explore opportunities for connection within the wider community, including employment, volunteering, training, community programs and social activities. Through this, you will help tackle isolation and loneliness, prevent repeat homelessness, and empower young women to move forward from SAY Women services.
The support you provide will be person-centred, inclusive, and rooted in an understanding of the unique challenges faced by young women affected by sexual violence and housing insecurity.

Duration of post: 1 year initially with potential to continue beyond this period subject to funding.
Location: Glasgow city centre.
Hours: Part Time – 21 hours per week.
