Due to the continued expansion of our LEV (Local Exhaust Engineer) division, Saxty Engineering have a vacancy for a Qualified LEV test engineer. The role of an LEV engineer is field based and will require you to travel to various sites, so it is imperative you have a valid driving licence and have a flexible approach towards travelling to a variety of locations throughout Cornwall & Devon.
This is a multi-task role that will involve visiting customer sites to carry out LEV testing across a wide range of systems.
- Driving license essential
- Good understanding of current Health and Safety responsibilities
- Knowledge of Occupational hygiene, hazards and controls
- Carry out site surveys
- Ability to write up and manage LEV reports
- Experience in compiling reports using MS Word (preferred but not essential)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Good IT and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physically fit and able to climb ladders
- Genuine passion for Engineering and commitment to learning
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Common sense and a 'can do' attitude
