Overview: Chelmsford, Essex — Full-Time — perm — £30,000-£35,000 per year. This role is responsible for ensuring the timely delivery/collection of vehicles within a set timeframe.
Hours: Mon to Fri 7-5; 1 in 3 Saturdays 8-3. Pay: £30-35,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Collection and delivery of vehicles using a truck & trailer, ensuring that the vehicles are properly secured and transported in a safe and compliant manner.
- Completion of all paperwork.
- Examine vehicles for damage and tyre safety, ensuring that damage reports are completed, and any damage is agreed with the customer prior to the vehicle being taken.
- Maintain systems and procedures in line with department operating standards and utilise them appropriately.
- Complete any relevant documentation where necessary.
- Receive and provide receipt for the collection of payments where necessary.
- Chauffeur company personnel and/or customers where required.
- Collect/deliver small items where required.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by management.
Person specification:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Correct drivers licence to tow up to 3.5T.
- Ability and previous experience of trailered deliveries.
- Ability to work deadlines and targets.
- Flexible with working hours.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Confident and professional communication skills.
- Full, clean UK drivers licence.
