A leading joinery and interior fit-out specialist based in Nottingham is searching for a CAD Technician / Design Engineer to join the growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician / Design Engineer to join a successful business delivering high-end bespoke joinery solutions across commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.

  • Basic salary of £32,500 - £42,500 (DOE)

Key Duties:

  • Produce detailed 2D AutoCAD drawings for manufacture and installation
  • Create 3D design visuals using relevant CAD
  • Interpret design concepts and develop accurate manufacturing drawings
  • Complete material take-offs and quantities for sheet materials, solid surfaces, glass, and hardware
  • Source supplier quotations and support material procurement
  • Produce cutting lists and CNC-ready information for manufacturing
  • Work closely with production teams to ensure designs meet project specifications

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a CAD Technician, Design Engineer, Setting Out Technician or Technical Designer
  • Strong 2D AutoCAD skills with experience in bespoke joinery, shopfitting, furniture or interior fit-out projects
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and technical drawings
  • Experience producing cutting lists and production information

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record as a CAD Technician / Design Engineer within the bespoke joinery or interior refurbishment sector.
