A leading specialist contractor is searching for a CAD Technician to join their growing delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for a CAD Technician to join an expanding external envelope contractor delivering innovative roofing and cladding solutions for main contractors.

The CAD Technician will review clients specifications, surveys and manufacturers design information to produce designs, ensure all construction drawings and designs are produced on time to a high standard. They will also manage the development and implementation of design proposals and ensure they meet the clients expectations.
This exciting and autonomous role will see you oversee projects from early engagement to construction with a supportive team around you. You will also lead and mentor a Junior / Graduate to draw, create and model innovative designs within clients budgets. This role requires you to use AutoCAD software.
This role would suit a CAD Technician / Senior CAD Technician or a Draughtsman, ideally from a Cladding or Roofing industry, looking for a step up into team leadership, to manage junior designers, assist on the design of high-value projects and have the opportunity to progress within the business.

Requirements:
- Experience working with a Roofing / Cladding / Envelope contractor
- Experience working as a CAD Technician / Senior CAD Technician
- Sound knowledge of building regulations and building standards
- Strong AutoCAD experience
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
Key Duties:
- Manage the design department
- Work with and mentor a Graduate
- Dealing with portals - uploading drawings and waiting for approvals
- Use AutoCAD and Revit to create, draw and model innovative designs
- Responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans for various projects
- Ensuring information is passed between departments and provide technical support
Salary & Package:
- Basic Salary £42,500 - £52,500

To qualify for the higher rate of pay you must be able to demonstrate a track record as a Senior CAD Technician for a Roofing or Cladding or External Envelope specialist.
