The Aftersales Manager oversees the service department and is responsible for controlling costs, building a loyal clientele, and setting and achieving targets. The role ensures all customer service concerns are addressed promptly and professionally, that all vehicle service and repairs are performed to the highest quality standards, and that the department operates efficiently and profitably. The Aftersales Manager leads and develops technicians and support staff; establishes and monitors key performance indicators; and implements processes to improve productivity, customer satisfaction, and retention. This position ensures compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer requirements, and safety regulations while fostering a positive, customer-focused, and high-performing service culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the service department to ensure efficiency, profitability, and high customer satisfaction.
- Supervising the team within the service department, monitoring their performance when delivering customer service.
- Lead, coach and manage technicians and support staff.
- Encourage all staff within the department to keep up to date with relevant training offered by automotive manufacturers.
- Keep directors informed of progress against company targets, market trends and future actions required to maximise performance.
- Any other reasonable duties assigned by management.

- Previous experience as a service manager or similar, relevant experience.
- Extensive technical background with management training.
- Strong communication skills to deal with customers, employees and vendors.
