THE COMPANY: Our client is an international bank. They are a leading provider of Trade Finance, Corporate & Institutional Banking.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Full understanding of the daily Loans Administration duties, including drawdowns, rate fixes, rollovers, fees, transfers, cancellation, prepayments, notices and advices in accordance with agreed and documented processes.
- Review facility documentation for operational feasibility, in conjunction with the internal and external stakeholders, covering loan products (including but not limited to): Syndicated Participations (term loans / RCFs / BB Financing), Bilateral uncommitted and committed, Islamic Financing (Murabaha), Master Participation Agreement, Insurance.
- Prepare and/or authorise Sales/Transfers/Participation documentation both funded and unfunded, including the execution and completion of the settlement of the sale.
- Maintenance of sold transactions on a participation basis (pseudo-Agency role).
- Position / create / authorise payments, in relation to Loan Products.
- Record and maintain facilities within the Banks systems, including the authorisation of work processed.
- Record and report non-performing loans.
- Daily / Monthly Nostro Reconciliations are actioned, breaks are resolved or commentary added within documented timeframes.
- Reports – Daily MI / Monthly MI, reconciled Monthly Suspense’s and Quality Assurance of transactions.
- Communicate with and assist internal and external stakeholders.
- Champion continuous improvement developments (lean 6Sigma) including RPAs for the department.
- Lead project work, as and when required.
- Process Audit requests.
- Maintain original documentation register.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must be able to work 5 days a week in the London office.
- Understanding / knowledge of Loan Products, and market standard terms and conditions.
- Knowledge of operational policies and procedures having the ability to analyse problems and provide resolutions.
- Analytical skills having the ability to review figures and identify errors.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in banking operations preferably acquired within an international banking environment in a managerial position.
- Commercial banking operations experience with Loan products.
