THE COMPANY: Our client is an international financial services company focusing on wholesale and corporate banking activities.

THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in administering syndicated loan facilities in accordance with the terms of the loan facility agreements.
  • Support the Facility Agent role, including coordination between borrowers and lenders on operational matters.
  • Manage drawdowns, rollovers, repayments, interest payment, and fee calculations in line with facility documentation.
  • Maintain accurate loan records, notices, registers (lender participations, commitments, utilizations).
  • Carry out such other duties as requested by the Head of Department, Loan Administration Manager and Deputy General Manager.
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of loan facility agreements, including: Conditions precedent, Events of default, Interest, fee and repayment provisions.
  • Review loan documentation to ensure operational requirements are correctly implemented.
  • Identify discrepancies between loan agreements and operational processes and escape where necessary.
  • Liaise with relationship managers, internal legal, lenders, borrowers, and internal operations teams.
  • Prepare and circulate notices, confirmations, and statements to lenders and borrowers.
  • Support onboarding of new lenders or transfers of loan participations.
  • Ensure transactions are processed in line with internal policies, delegated authorities, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audit requests and regulatory examinations related to loan administration.
  • Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare periodic reports on loan utilization, outstanding balances and payment status.
  • Ensure a timely and accurate input of loan data into loan administration systems.
  • Support system enhancements and user testing where required.
  • Provide technical guidance and informal mentoring to junior administrators.
  • Act as a subject matter reference for complex agency matters.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in loan administration, agency services and corporate banking operations.
  • Hands-on experience administering syndicated loan is essential.
  • Experience supporting with secondary loan trading processes.
  • Strong understanding of loan facility agreements and legal documentation.
  • Knowledge of syndicated lending and agency roles.
  • Proficiency in LoanIQ, and Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Outlook.
  • Familiar with LMA and LSTA standards.
