A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking a junior Assistant Relationship Manager. The role will involve day-to-day management of the Bank’s relationships with Wealth Management clients.
- Multi-task and use effective time management skills to prioritise short-term tasks while simultaneously managing longer-term projects.
- Full ownership of cash management solutions.
- Processing client account opening from inception to completion, including gathering all necessary KYC and AML documentation.
- Preparing credit and loan requests including general administration of credit facilities.
- Liaising with other branches for cross-booked accounts.
- Diarise and prepare for client meetings with the Relationship Manager – liaise with portfolio managers, wealth planners and the credit team prior to coordinate attendance, where appropriate.
- Assist the Relationship Manager with the preparation of Investment Suitability Reviews and Credit proposals for banker sign off, documenting client circumstances appropriately, with the ability to identify high risk and vulnerable clients and support them to required standard.
- Keeping the Relationship Manager up-to-date with all client related information and delegating tasks accordingly.
- Initiate projects to enhance existing processes and contribute ideas for improvements to the team and to management.
- Support the Relationship Manager in revenue generation from existing and potential clients by identifying new opportunities, whilst at all times being mindful of, and adhering to the principles of Treating Customers Fairly.
- Act as a point of contact for Relationship Managers when they are away from the office or on annual leave.
- Actively assisting the Relationship Manager in developing client relationships to their full business potential through a detailed knowledge of the client.
- Maintain excellent professional standards through appropriate training and development, keeping up to date with developments in the marketplace.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of the Bank’s products and services.
- To adhere to the Bank’s Policies and Procedures and act in accordance with the regulatory requirements and standards under the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) and Prudential Conduct Authority (PRA).
- Experience of working as an assistant in private banking or in another client facing front office role.
- An understanding of the private client industry and its products.
- You understand and enjoy dealing with sophisticated private investors.
- You are outgoing, client focused and understand what it means to deliver impeccable service.
