A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking an experienced Banking Operations Officer to join their Banking Operations team in London.

About the Role

You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality operational support across client-facing and back-office banking activities. This is a hands-on position with a strong emphasis on client service, risk management, regulatory compliance, and collaboration within a “one team” environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage client reporting, including valuations and mailings
  • Oversee Individual Savings Account (ISA) controls and processes
  • Provide first-line support for client debit cards and the debit card helpline
  • Deliver excellent online banking support and helpline assistance
  • Handle management of physical documents, mail, and archives
  • Proactively support colleagues across Banking Operations with a collaborative one-team approach
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues within the banking operations scope
  • Produce and report KPIs for Banking Operations to Senior Management
  • Support the development and implementation of operational solutions for new products and services, working closely with offshore operational teams
  • Ensure all operational functions remain fully compliant with relevant UK regulatory requirements
  • Uphold the highest standards in line with the firm’s Code of Conduct, internal controls, policies, and procedures, with a strong focus on minimising operational risk

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar banking operations role
  • Strong technical knowledge across banking operations
  • Detailed knowledge of debit cards (issuance, support, controls, and helpline processes)
  • Excellent understanding of client servicing in a private banking or wealth management environment
  • Proven ability to produce accurate KPI reporting and manage operational risks
