Assistant Manager – Banking Operations

An international bank with a strong presence in the European financial markets is seeking an Assistant Manager – Operations to support its Front Office and wider Operations team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing, verification, and settlement of a range of banking transactions while maintaining high standards of operational control and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Operations with the day-to-day management of banking operations.
• Process, verify and settle transactions across products including Foreign Exchange (FX), Money Markets, Corporate Loans, Securities and Derivatives.
• Prepare and reconcile trade confirmations, fixing notices and settlement instructions.
• Maintain accurate transaction records and documentation across core banking and settlement systems.
• Monitor securities settlements, corporate actions and inbound funds, following up on outstanding items with clients and counterparties.
• Liaise with Front Office teams, clients and settlement agents to resolve operational queries efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with FCA/PRA regulations, internal controls and operational procedures.
• Provide operational support and cover for colleagues where required.

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years' experience in back-office operations within a financial institution.
• Experience in trade processing, settlements and transaction lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of financial products including FX, Money Markets, Corporate Loans, Securities and/or Derivatives.
• Strong analytical, organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.
