A prestigious private bank with a significant and growing presence in the UK is seeking an experienced Account Manager. The primary responsibility is the day-to-day administration of the Bank’s relationships with Wealth Management clients, understanding the requirements and needs of the client.

The intention is for the Account Manager to be responsible for clients from the Referred Business, Independent Financial Adviser (“IFA”) and Staff Account segments. This role involves management of relationships on multiple levels, working collaboratively with another party to the end client to present the products and services of the business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referring RMs and the client’s advisors (as applicable).
  • Handle day-to-day correspondence with clients and their representatives.
  • Multi-task and use effective time management skills to prioritise short-term tasks while simultaneously managing longer-term projects.
  • Ability to work in a highly pressurised environment, whilst meeting both client and internal deadlines.
  • Handle data requests from clients and stakeholders within the firm.
  • Assist with cash management.
  • Execute and ensure settlement of client orders (FX, Cash, Equities, Fixed Income etc.).
  • Prepare for, and where required, attend Client meetings.
  • Process client account opening from inception to completion, including gathering all necessary KYC and AML documentation.
  • Assist with the completion of event-driven and periodic reviews.
  • Prepare credit requests and general administration of credit facilities.
  • Liaise with other branches for Referred accounts.
  • Manage documentation relating to IFAs.
  • Ensure any Staff Accounts are administered in accordance with the Group Directive.
  • Keep relationship managers up-to-date with all client information and delegating tasks accordingly.
  • Initiate projects to enhance existing processes and contribute ideas for improvements to the team and to management.
About You:
  • Experience of working as an account manager in private banking/wealth management is ESSENTIAL.
  • A good understanding of the private client industry and its products.
  • IAD Level 4.
