Saxon Weald are recruiting for a Repairs & Maintenance Team Leader to join our Homefix team. In this role, you will lead the operational delivery of Saxon Weald’s response to Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) hazards, including damp and mould, in line with Awaab’s Law. You will lead and develop a small, specialist team of Damp and Mould operatives, working closely with contractors, property surveyors and other internal teams to ensure investigations are carried out promptly and that remedial works are delivered to a high standard and within legislative timeframes.
Using a data-led approach and systems such as BRIK, QLIK and DRS, you will manage cases from initial investigation through to resolution, monitor performance and quality, and drive continuous improvement. This role is an excellent opportunity to combine operational leadership with technical understanding and a strong customer focus, ensuring our customers are supported throughout the process and that learning is embedded.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of HHSRS, Awaab’s law and other relevant housing legislation.
- Have experience managing and leading a team within a repairs, maintenance or construction environment.
- Be able to use data to drive continuous improvement and ensure decision making is evidence based.
- Build strong working relationships within the team, wider organisation and external stakeholders.
- Be confident in using IT systems to monitor team performance, HHSRS cases and costs.
- Have strong communication and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to tailor your communication style for different audiences and mediums.
- Hold a full UK driving license and your own vehicle.
