Multi-Skilled External Operative (Known internally as External Works Operative)

40 Hours Per Week

Circa £28,000 - £30,000 per annum

£1,000 Annual Vehicle Responsibility Allowance

Are you a skilled tradesperson with experience in external works and a passion for delivering a great customer experience? Join our HomeFix team at Saxon Weald and help us achieve our purpose of enabling positive life chances by providing safe and secure homes.

As a member of our external works team, you will be carrying out responsive repairs to the exterior of our customers' homes. This would include tasks such as fencing, concrete path repairs, underground drainage, and any general repairs to the exterior of our properties.

We are looking for someone who is confident working at heights to carry out domestic guttering clearances and repairs on various property types. You could either be working on your own or as part of a two-person team, therefore you should be used to proactive problem-solving, be able to demonstrate the values of Saxon Weald and using your initiative to deal with day-to-day issues.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Experience of all types of domestic fencing including chain-link
  • Experience of groundworks; including repairing and replacing concrete paths/ramps, paving slabs, tarmac, underground drainage
  • Brickwork skills; including repointing and general repairs
  • Experience of facia and soffit repairs/replacements
  • Experience of gutter repairs and clearances
  • Ability to deliver a great customer service
  • Confidence and competence in utilising IT systems and using a tablet
  • Housing association experience would be an advantage but is not essential
