The purpose of the role is to deliver high-quality cyclical decoration works across the internal and external communal areas of our general needs, retirement, and extra care properties. Our homes are predominantly based in and around the Horsham district, but we also have homes in Southampton and East Sussex, so candidates should be prepared to travel as part of the role.

You’ll help ensure customers live in a well-maintained, clean, and welcoming environment by completing painting, decorating, and minor plastering tasks to an excellent standard. You’ll also conduct inspections, carry out risk assessments, and keep accurate records, including photos of completed works. Working both independently and alongside colleagues, you’ll help maintain a smooth and professional service by keeping your vehicle well stocked, resolving any snagging issues, and contributing to a positive experience for customers.

To be successful in this role you will need to have:

  • Experience carrying out all aspects of painting and decorating to a high standard.
  • Experience carrying out minor plastering.
  • Proven ability to cut back, treat, and fill rotten timber.
  • The ability to refix handrails.
  • Knowledge of UPVC capping of timber fascia’s and soffits.
  • An organised and timely approach to completing works.
  • Experience repairing and replacing vinyl floor tiles and stair nosing.
  • A full UK Driving License and experience driving a van.

Reasons why you should apply:

  • 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays.
  • Excellent employer pension contributions up to 12%.
  • Life assurance 4x annual salary.
  • Cashback on day to day medical expenses up to £1300 (limits apply for each category).
  • Leading Employee Assistance Programme, gym discounts & cycle to work scheme.
  • Loyalty scheme for long-serving colleagues including increased annual leave and a hamper.
  • Company van and fuel card provided, so you don’t pay any travel costs to and from work.

At this point, we hope you’re feeling excited about what you’re reading. Even if you don’t feel that you meet every single requirement, or all elements of the role profile, we still encourage you to apply. We’re keen to meet people that believe in our purpose and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways - not just candidates who tick all the boxes.
