Are you someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in helping deliver high-quality improvements to customers' homes? We're looking for a Labourer to join our Kitchens & Bathrooms team, part of our wider HomeFix department, supporting the installation of kitchens and bathrooms across our homes. This is a varied role where you'll work alongside skilled trades colleagues to help deliver projects safely, efficiently and to a high standard, creating spaces that our customers can enjoy for years to come.
You'll support kitchen and bathroom installations in customers' homes, assisting with removing existing fixtures and preparing work areas to helping fit new kitchens and bathrooms. Working alongside experienced tradespeople, you'll gain valuable hands-on experience, develop new practical skills and build your knowledge across a range of trades. As part of a structured development and progression pathway, you'll have the opportunity to grow your capabilities and work towards advancing your career, while helping the team deliver high-quality work safely, on time and with excellent customer service.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have experience in a practical, hands-on role with transferable skills and experience working as part of a team.
- Be able to support kitchen and bathroom installation projects, including removing existing fixtures and preparing work areas.
- Have a good understanding of safe working practices, including manual handling and the safe use of tools and equipment.
- Be able to maintain clean, safe and organised working environments while working in customers' homes.
- Be confident using handheld technology or tablets to record work accurately.
- Be able to communicate professionally with customers and colleagues and provide excellent customer service.
- Be organised, reliable and able to manage tasks effectively to support team performance and meet deadlines.
- Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to satisfy a basic DBS check.
Reasons why you should apply:
- 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Excellent employer pension contributions, 3x your contributions up to 12%
- Life assurance 4x annual salary.
- Structured progression plan with development provided to work your way up to a semi-skilled labourer
- Cashback on day to day medical expenses up to £1300 (limits apply for each category)
- Leading Employee Assistance Programme, gym discounts & cycle to work scheme
- Loyalty scheme for long-serving colleagues including increased annual leave
- Company van and fuel card provided, so you don't pay any travel costs to and from work
At this point, we hope you're feeling excited about what you're reading. Even if you don't feel that you meet every single requirement, or all elements of the role profile, we still encourage you to apply. We're keen to meet people that believe in our purpose and can contribute to our team in a variety of ways - not just candidates who tick all the boxes.
DBS Checks: To ensure the safety of our vulnerable customers, this role is subject to a basic DBS check which will disclose details of any unspent cautions or convictions. We know that past incidents don't always reflect who you are today, and we'll carefully consider the details, including the nature of the conviction, the time that's passed, and any positive changes you've made since then.
