We're looking for a skilled and motivated External Works Operative to join our Home Fix team.

In this varied, hands-on role, you'll carry out a wide range of external repairs and maintenance works, helping to keep our customers' homes safe, secure and well maintained.

From fencing, brickwork and groundworks to roofing, roofline repairs and guttering, you'll use your experience to deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

Working both independently and as part of a team, you'll manage your own workload, use a handheld tablet to record your work, and maintain safe working practices at all times.

To be successful in this role you will need to

  • Have experience carrying out external repairs and maintenance, including fencing, groundworks, brickwork, roofing, roofline repairs and guttering.
  • Be able to diagnose repairs and carry out pre-inspections to identify associated works and effective solutions.
  • Have experience working safely at height and using power tools, equipment and appropriate PPE.
  • Be able to complete work to a high standard while managing your workload and meeting agreed timescales.
  • Have experience working in occupied homes or customer-facing environments and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Be confident using handheld technology to record work, materials used and job outcomes accurately.
  • Be able to work independently and collaboratively, sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues where needed.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be able to satisfy a basic DBS check.
