We are seeking a confident, professional, and customer-focused Door Supervisor to join our team at prestigious theaters and corporate events in and around the Harrogate and York areas. This role is essential to maintaining a safe, enjoyable environment for guests, performers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests at the entrance and provide friendly, helpful customer service.
- Verify tickets, check IDs, and manage queue flow efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with venue policies, licensing laws, and health & safety regulations.
- Conduct respectful and proportionate searches where required.
- Monitor crowd behaviour and identify potential risks before they escalate.
- Respond calmly and effectively to incidents, supporting conflict resolution when necessary.
- Liaise with management, bar staff, security team members, and emergency services when needed.
- Complete incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Protect the venue, its staff, and its customers at all times.
Skills & Experience
- Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential).
- Experience working in nightlife, events, or hospitality security (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage conflict professionally.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards of safety and customer service.
- Physically fit and able to work on your feet for extended periods.
