As a Senior Software Engineering Manager working for this Networking Technology company you will work on Products developing a Network that grows smarter, enhancing connectivity. What you'll do:
- Provide technical leadership and managerial guidance to a team of 10 software engineers
- Recruit and mentor staff to grow the team's capability and their individual talent
- Review product requirements and feature requests, providing development effort estimates and risk assessments to senior management
- Influence architectural decisions, design/code reviews, test plans and technology strategy
- Manage multiple concurrent projects to deliver committed features on time
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement in software engineering practices and product quality in terms of performance, scalability, availability and flexibility
- Work closely with other software development teams as well as product line management, quality assurance (QA), and technical support.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in electronics and communications engineering, computer engineering or computer science and 10 years of experience in a software development role, in the Networking domain or similar adjacent technology. Five years+ of experience in a technical leadership role and/or people management role.
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge:
- Familiar with Linux development environment. They use C, Linux, Python
- Knowledge of network routers/switches or routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, etc)
- Experience in open-source software development
- Knowledge with cloud native application development
- Knowledge with distributed systems and Python based micro-services.
