As a Lead/Senior Test Engineer/Network Automation Engineer in this high-speed connectivity Networking Technology company, you'll have the opportunity to work on innovative, challenging projects where you'll learn something new in emerging Network technologies. You'll enjoy career growth opportunities, taking on more complex and system-wide responsibilities exerting more influence on the Product, with impactful work, either progressing up the individual Contributor Technical ladder or moving to a Managerial strand and taking ownership of teams. The role is Fully Remote with occasional trips to Edinburgh or Hybrid of 1 day a week in the Edinburgh office.
What you'll do:
- Validate cutting-edge IP routing and Multicast capabilities in high-performance, virtualized network systems.
- Test and troubleshoot advanced IP Routing protocols, including Multicast, MVPN, PIM, SR-MPLS, BGP, IS-IS, and IPv6, within container-based microservices architectures.
- Collaborate across development, QA, and customer teams to resolve complex defects efficiently.
- Build automation frameworks using Python, Git, and Pytest, while exploring AI-powered testing with Gen-AI and AI/ML tools to enhance validation processes.
- Contribute to test strategy, coverage, and risk-aware methodologies to strengthen quality assurance.
- Deliver high-quality features for AI Connect, data centre, and next-generation service provider networks in Agile sprint cycles.
What you'll need - Must Haves:
- Extensive hands-on networking experience with Multicast, MVPN, PIM, BGP, and advanced IP Routing protocols.
- Proficiency in Python automation, along with experience using Git and Pytest.
- Strong skills in test planning, defect management, and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Understanding of software development and testing processes, particularly leveraging AI to improve quality assurance.
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with NETCONF/YANG protocols.
- Knowledge of AI-driven testing methodologies, Generative AI, and AI/ML tools.
- Experience in using AI to optimize and enhance testing processes.
