As the CCO UK, you will be a senior leader of the UK Office with strategic responsibility for the future growth of our Direct Business (Direct to Client). We operate with a Digital Platform First mindset. As CCO, you are the bridge between the Client (through the Sales/RM team) and their digital platform experience (via the Client Journeys team).
Your role supports strategic decision-making with the CEO, leads a team covering clients and product enhancements, manages day-to-day operational execution of commercial objectives, and ensures first-line compliance. The CCO will also act as an external face of Saxo, attending client events and building Saxo's brand in the UK through PR, marketing, and communication activities.
Responsibilities- Strategic: Act as a senior leader, supporting strategic decision-making and implementation in a compliant manner. Develop and align detailed local commercial strategies and plans with stakeholders. Communicate strategy clearly to all employees. Lead, develop, and motivate the Sales and Journey teams (~12 individuals). Provide strategic direction and ensure alignment between journeys and stakeholders. Foster a strong leadership culture in line with Saxo Bank's principles—Creating Clarity, Focus & Accountability. Align local priorities with global initiatives and oversee implementation of Group commercial initiatives. Report on the progress of the commercial strategy to Group Management.
- Operational: Manage budget, KPIs, and targets to effectively run the Direct business. Establish strong processes for local journeys with governance around engagement with stakeholders. Drive sales through KPIs such as referrals, call rates, ANF conversions, X-sell campaigns, etc. Build relationships with VIP clients focusing on development and issue resolution.
- Compliance: Ensure daily compliance of the First Line team with full accountability for regulatory excellence.
Your Profile
You have at least 15 years of experience in Financial Services, with a background in digital products and platforms, brokerage, and client-facing roles. You are an experienced leader with a proven track record of achieving targets and driving growth. You possess attributes such as:
