An exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercially driven Sales Development Representative to join a growing B2B events business within the People and Education Markets. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and creating commercial opportunities. You'll play a key role in generating new business, engaging prospective sponsors and exhibitors, and booking qualified meetings for the wider commercial team while developing your own sales career.
Working within a collaborative, high-performing team, you'll gain exposure to the full sponsorship sales process with excellent progression opportunities into a Sales Manager role.
The Role:
- Identifying and engaging prospective sponsors and exhibitors across the People and Education Markets.
- Building relationships with key decision-makers through outbound calls, email and LinkedIn outreach.
- Generating qualified opportunities for the commercial team.
- Researching target accounts and identifying new business opportunities.
- Booking high-quality meetings with prospective clients.
- Working closely with Sales Managers to support pipeline growth.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and activity tracking.
- Attending industry events to build relationships and generate leads.
About You:
- Previous experience in an SDR, BDR, Delegate Sales or B2B sales role.
- Confident making outbound calls and engaging new prospects.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, proactive and target-driven.
- Organised with excellent time management skills.
- Keen to develop a long-term career in sponsorship and commercial sales.
