A leading B2B publisher is seeking an Assistant Editor to work across a portfolio of magazines. This is an excellent opportunity for an editorial assistant or junior writer ready to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience across digital and print platforms.
As Assistant Editor, you will support the editorial team in producing high-quality journalism for both online and print audiences. You’ll work closely with editors, contributors, and industry experts, helping to deliver timely, accurate, and engaging content.
- Write daily news stories for online publication
- Create social media posts aligned with news stories and key industry events
- Pitch, source, and write features for quarterly and bi-monthly magazines
- Sub-edit expert-contributed articles
- Support the editor in planning and producing print magazines, with the opportunity to eventually flatplan your own titles
- Proofread content for clarity, consistency, and accuracy
- Attend international conferences and trade shows as needed
Suitable for an editorial assistant or junior writer looking to progress. Confident storytelling and networking abilities are essential, along with the ability to translate complex technical ideas into clear, accessible language. Experience with WordPress is desirable, and an interest in industrial, processing, or energy sectors is a plus.
The role is hybrid working - During the probation period, you will be expected to work from the office four days per week, then the standard working pattern after completion will be Monday–Tuesday in the office.
