Commercial Director β Events & Commercial Growth Location: Kent, Office Based (applicants must drive) Salary: Β£75,000 Basic + Uncapped Bonus (OTE Β£130,000+) An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Director to join a rapidly expanding international B2B media and events organisation. With ambitious growth plans across multiple global markets, the business is looking for a commercially driven leader to play a pivotal role in scaling its events portfolio and driving long-term revenue growth. This is far more than a traditional sales leadership role. The successful candidate will combine strategic commercial thinking with a hands-on approach, leading from the front while developing high-performing sales teams and forging key industry partnerships. Commercial Growth Develop and manage strategic commercial relationships with key industry partners. Build long-term commercial partnerships across multiple products and international markets. Lead, mentor and develop an established commercial sales team. Set clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations. Conduct regular pipeline reviews, forecasting sessions and performance meetings. Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and high performance. Play a key role in launching new events and expanding existing brands into new territories. Help evolve conference-led products into larger-scale exhibition platforms. Commercial Planning Maintain accurate sales forecasting and revenue projections. Monitor team performance against targets and implement improvement plans where required. Deliver regular commercial reporting and strategic insights to senior leadership. Identify new markets, products and commercial opportunities. Support partnerships, acquisitions and wider business expansion projects. Contribute to the long-term diversification and growth strategy of the organisation. You will be a commercially focused leader with a proven track record in event sponsorship, exhibitions or B2B commercial sales. You'll be equally comfortable closing high-value deals as you are leading teams, coaching individuals and developing commercial strategy. Minimum five years' experience in a senior commercial or events sales leadership role. Experience managing and motivating successful sales teams. Excellent forecasting, pipeline management and commercial planning skills. Proven ability to launch and grow commercial products. Outstanding negotiation and relationship management capabilities. Background within B2B media, conferences or exhibitions. Exposure to technology, industrial, security or specialist B2B sectors. Experience scaling conferences into larger exhibition-led events. Personal Qualities Leads by example with a hands-on management style. Strong leadership and coaching ability. Willing to travel internationally as required.
