Head of Digital Operations
£55,000 – £60,000 per annum

Following a significant period of growth and industry recognition, our client is seeking a Head of Digital Operations to lead their owned-and-operated (O&O) media operations and drive the next phase of their evolution as a next-generation media business.
This senior role reports directly to the CEO and works closely with department leads to deliver innovative strategies, operational excellence, and growth across all digital channels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for next-generation content, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of driving digital brand growth.
Key Requirements:
• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in the media and digital publishing industry, preferably in fast-growing companies.
• Strong understanding of all social media platforms, content distribution, and monetisation strategies.
• Deep knowledge of digital content production, particularly short and mid-form video, and distribution rights.
• Proven experience in growth hacking and launching new digital content brands.
• Exceptional team management and development skills, with direct line management experience.
• Excellent time management and the ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficiency in task management programmes and a detail-oriented approach.
• An understanding of youth audiences and trends, with a focus on innovation and audience engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with and manage department leads to oversee digital strategies across O&O operations.
• Monitor and revise strategies to meet growth targets and implement reactive measures to address performance dips.
• Develop and pursue new monetisation opportunities across emerging platforms.
• Lead the creation of new brands within the company’s portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
• Audit and refine team processes to optimise workflows and drive operational excellence.
• Maintain audience reach within target demographics and implement innovative strategies to accelerate growth.
• Oversee content creation and publishing processes, ensuring quality and adherence to deadlines.
• Lead M&A due diligence from a platform perspective and contribute to informed business decisions.
• Foster relationships with platform partner managers while developing new partnerships.
• Collaborate with the media and partnerships team to enhance media and distribution offerings.
• Support overall brand health across all operational channels.
