The predicted salary is between 24750 - 24750 £ per year.
SAVS are looking to recruit a Turning Tides Assistant – Youth Project for 15 hours per week across two/three days, with exact hours to be agreed with the successful applicant (hours include 2/3 evenings per week until approximately 7:30pm and occasional weekends).
Salary: £24,750 per annum (pro rata)
Currently funded until: 31 March 2027
Additional benefits: parking pass, birthday leave, and wellbeing day upon completion of probation.
Turning Tides youth clubs are located on the Balmoral and Woodgrange estates, which are considered to be amongst the most disadvantaged areas of Southend-on-Sea. Sessions are specifically designed to help build confidence within the young people, provide opportunities for community action, and improve wellbeing.
The purpose of this post is to:
- Assist the Team Leader with planning and organising weekly youth club activities that help build confidence, improve quality of life, and give young people a voice.
- Support the Team Leader in the delivery of the weekly youth club sessions by actively getting involved with the sessions.
- Attend and assist in the delivery of the annual Hucklow 5-day residential trip (August).
- Support the Team Leader in carrying out risk assessments prior to any visits/activities.
The successful candidate will be a role model for the children and young people and have a flexible attitude to working hours.
