Do you want to pursue a career in cooking, preparing nutritious home cooked food in a caring and friendly environment?
If so, Savio House is the place for you. We are a Catholic Youth Retreat Centre situated in a beautiful setting right in the centre of Kerridge Ridge & Ingersley Vale in Cheshire. We offer residential and day retreats to groups and individuals of all ages.
We are a small friendly team and are looking for an experienced cook to deliver high quality home cooked food using fresh, seasonal and local ingredients wherever possible, ensuring a special experience for all our guests (usually groups of up to 50 people) and resident community (c. 15 people), whatever their age and nationality.
You will be responsible for delivering a varied menu, taking into account special dietary requirements and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. You will have responsibility for purchasing, stock rotation, cleanliness, food safety standards and general kitchen management.
You must hold a valid Level 2 Award in Food Safety as a minimum, be able to work alone and on your own initiative and be trustworthy. You will be well presented, have a friendly nature and be willing to work flexibly.
Working hours: Full/part time roles available (daytime hours)
6.6 weeks holiday, contributory pension scheme, uniform, professional development and training provided
