We are expanding our panel of consultant residential Assessors and Valuers to undertake portfolio pricing assessments/valuations and inspections (both internally and externally) of social housing properties. We undertake work across the country, and are looking to recruit in all areas of England and Wales.

You will be inspecting tenanted residential portfolios, completing inspection forms, taking street and portfolio photographs and using your research to provide us with feedback relating to the local property market and the existing housing stock, in addition to completing an Excel schedule by recording market pricing and rental estimates – based on market comparable research and discussions with local agents active in the area(s). You will then provide a consolidated overview of the factors impacting the local residential market and/or attributes that could impact property pricing.

Work will be on a casual basis, on hourly rates (to be agreed) with no retainer. Work will be intermittent with no guaranteed workflow, with projects varying in length from a day to a number of weeks. This position may suit either part‑time or retired surveyors, or those seeking to complement existing estate agency or valuation work. The role may require considerable commuting distance in some cases and overnight accommodation may be necessary where there is reasonable justification.

It is essential that you will need to develop proficient local market knowledge specific to the portfolio and geographical spread as each instruction requires. You would be expected to be proficient in using Microsoft Office software and be able to manage your time to meet tight deadlines. Suitable training on our working practices will be provided along with ongoing ad hoc training as and when necessary.

Requirements:

  • MRICS/FRICS – preferred; but we would like to hear from any individual with relevant or transferable experience.
  • Full driving licence & use of own car with suitable insurance cover is essential.
  • We will consider property professionals from all backgrounds: residential/housing, commercial, investment or rural.
  • Hold your own right to work in the UK.

Visa and Work Eligibility: This role does not meet the salary criteria for skilled worker visa sponsorship.
