We have an exciting new opportunity for a Planner to join the Cardiff Planning Team. The ideal candidate will have planning experience and a detailed knowledge of the UK town planning and governmental systems.
This role will involve managing your own workload, assisting the senior team fee earners, undertaking planning research and enquiries, drafting and finessing reports and planning submissions (site assessments, policy notes, applications, appeals, development plan representations and so on). As well as assisting with the management of the team’s caseload and its business development activities.

The Savills Planning Team in Cardiff consists of 13 planners and is highly respected in South Wales and is an integral part of the biggest planning consultancy in the UK with over 200 planning specialists covering every land use sector and geographical area in the UK. The team is client focused so acts for clients throughout the UK providing a healthy blend of local, regional and national schemes.
Examples of current projects include ongoing work with Wrexham AFC in relation to Stōk Cae Ras and their academy; ongoing development of Indurent Park, Newport; discharging planning conditions for Twyn Hywel Energy Park in Caerphilly; the development of land at Bridgend College, Pencoed following its allocation in the LDP; major mixed use development in Cardiff Bay; underwater research campus development in the Forest of Dean; Carbon Capture and Storage development in North Wales; the redevelopment of the Ford factory in Bridgend; and other exciting emerging schemes.
The Planning team is part of the largest property services firm in Wales and works seamlessly with colleagues in Development, Commercial Investment, Office Agency, New Homes, Building Services Energy & Sustainability and Property Management.
