Salary: £23,000 - £24,000 (DOE) + £1,000 sign on bonus

About the team: The Building & Project Consultancy team is based in Manchester in a vibrant, recently refurbished office that houses a dynamic mix of disciplines. Located prominently in the city centre, our team boasts a diverse blend of people with specialist skill sets, creating a rich environment for collaboration and innovation. We are passionate about developing both our people and our clients, fostering a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere where everyone can thrive.

Day to day duties: You’ll support professional surveys, reviewing construction drawings and specifications, helping with project management and contract administration, and assisting with condition reports and dilapidations. You’ll learn how projects are scoped, tendered and monitored, gaining real exposure to live schemes with a strong focus on sustainability, ESG and outstanding client service. You will be working closely with experienced surveyors who’ll help you progress towards taking on your own instructions as your career develops.

Training: On the job training is provided to ensure all the required knowledge and experience is obtained throughout the apprenticeship to qualify successfully. 5 year training programme (Level 6 Apprenticeship), which includes a part time undergraduate degree (4 years) and an APC training programme (2 years, enrolled at the beginning of your 3rd year at University) leading to qualification as a Chartered Surveyor (RICS). Once you’ve successfully passed your APC and become a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, you’ll continue to receive training and career development opportunities. We will provide the full suite of Savills training programme including mandatory health and safety and office training, as well as specific training relevant to your role. We ensure that your Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is up to date with changes to legislation and business needs.

Working Week: Five full days in the office, working hours 9:00am to 5:30pm. One of these days each week will be dedicated to apprenticeship studies whilst in the office.

Assessment for this role:

  • Application Form - CV and question (applications close at 9am on Monday 16th February)
  • Online Assessment – SHL (will be sent on application completion and will need to be completed by 12pm on Monday 16th February)
  • Screening Call & Presentation (between Monday 9th March – Friday 13th March)
  • Assessment Centre & Interview (Thursday 9th April) in London Head Office (33 Margaret Street, London, W1G 0JD)

Entry requirements: GCSE English and Maths at Level 4 (Grade C) or above is a mandatory requirement and you may not apply if you are currently studying for or already have a degree. You will also need a minimum of 96 UCAS points. You must be eligible to live, work and remain in the UK, within 1 hour’s commute of the office you are applying to.
