An opportunity has arisen to join a world-renowned Savills Rural Research team as an administrator. You will be core to the successful operation of the team and meet our personal, team, project and data administration needs. Savills Rural Research has a highly valued role in interpreting land market, policy and sustainability trends on behalf of farmers, investors, landowners and policymakers. We need an outgoing and adaptable individual with a high level of attention to detail to help manage our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diary management for the Rural Research team, organising client meetings and events
  • Preparation of documents for meetings, collating minutes and producing agendas
  • Liaising with administrators within other Research divisions and wider Savills UK as required
  • Travel arrangements for the team, assisting with away days and training days
  • Client invoicing and contact management on Savills systems (training will be given)
  • Project management and report preparation, assisting with the preparation of research publications and publishing final articles on our intranet and LinkedIn
  • Data inputting and administration (training will be given)
  • Recruitment administration
  • Such additional tasks as may be required from time to time
  • Represent the firm and the department across the country in a manner consistent with the firm’s ethos, promoting the firm and its various service lines
  • Help promote and deliver the firm’s compliance procedures and standards
  • To facilitate good communication between all disciplines
  • In addition to the tasks described above, the job holder may be required to carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Personable, with a positive outlook and able to communicate with confidence in a variety of different settings
  • Work to a high standard with strong attention to detail in order to improve and maintain our team’s performance
  • Well organised and highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised and under own initiative
  • An ability to work across a number of projects at any point in time and effectively deal with competing priorities
  • Understand the importance of confidentiality and business relationships

Technical experience:

  • Excellent IT skills in MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Good working knowledge of CRM and billing portals (training will be given on Savills systems)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good time management, organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks
  • An ability to assist on a diverse range of ongoing projects
  • An interest in UK and global agriculture, current affairs and the rural property market is an advantage.
