Savills is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Associate Director / Lead Consultant to play a pivotal role within its Global Residential Development Consultancy (GRDC) team, a market leader in the branded residential sector. The team operates within the Global Residential Development (GRD) department, which comprises two core divisions: Consultancy and Sales & Marketing. These teams collaborate to deliver seamless, end-to-end client service, from project conception through to successful commercialisation. Based at Savills’ London headquarters (with a satellite operation in Dubai), the GRDC team has a global remit spanning regions from the Caribbean to Japan. The team provides six core service lines:
- Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
- Development Consultancy & Feasibility
- Brand Premium Studies
- Brand / Operator Search, Selection & Contract Negotiation
- Operational Advisory
- Capital Markets
This role sits between senior leadership and a team of consultants and combines consultancy delivery, feasibility expertise, leadership, and business development. It is a high-impact position suited to a dynamic individual capable of driving projects, influencing stakeholders, and contributing to strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead development consultancy assignments, including client engagement, project management, and report delivery
- Drive business development activities, including pitching, winning, onboarding, and managing client relationships
- Manage team resources and oversee project allocation and delivery
- Support departmental financial management, including P&L oversight
- Produce high-quality consultancy reports and proposals with accuracy and efficiency
- Provide guidance, oversight, and mentorship to junior team members
- Regular international travel for site visits and conferences
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Proven experience in international residential development consultancy and/or hospitality sector is essential
- Strong understanding of the branded residential sector, including feasibility analysis, advisory, and operations
- Demonstrated ability to lead client relationships and manage stakeholders effectively
- High level of commercial awareness and ability to contribute to revenue generation
- Strong analytical and numerical capability, including financial modelling
- Advanced proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Argus Developer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise reports
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver outputs to tight deadlines
- Strong preference for London-based candidate (or willing to be based in London). Dubai / Singapore may be considered
