Divisional Management Accountant- Maternity Cover

Please note this role is 30 hours a week and available until January 2026.

A minimum of 2 days a week will be required in the office.

Role Overview

This role supports 3 commercial divisions and the Future Talent Programmes. The role will be involved in preparing divisional-specific management accounts that are heavily relied-upon in business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ownership of the month end management accounting process for our 3 divisions
2. Liaison with the finance team in Cambridge on queries and sense checking of numbers
3. Generation and sending of monthly finance reports
4. First point of contact for queries from the business regarding their profit and loss statements
5. Ownership of budgeting and forecasting of revenue and recharges
6. Management and financial accounting and balance sheet reconciliations for small subsidiary entities
7. Production of \”shadow\” profit and loss reports on a monthly basis, to include revenue reconciliations and cost analysis work
8. Production of client billing reports and analysis as required by the Business
9. Assistance with the preparation of statutory financial statements for small subsidiary entities
10. Assistance with the year end audit process
11. Assistance with invoicing and income reconciliations
12. Assistance with the maintenance of PowerBI dashboards for reporting purposes
13. Any ad-hoc requests as directed by the team or business

Key Skills

1. Strong excel skills (macro-level not required)
2. Experience of working in a management or financial accounts team
3. Ability to deal with a wide variety of work, prioritising workload as appropriate
4. Strong interpersonal and business partnering skills are required as it is a business-facing role dealing with staff at all levels
5. Attention to detail and a problem-solving attitude are essential
6. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX and PowerBI are favourable but not essential.
7. The individual should be inquisitive and conscientious, with the ability to work to deadlines

The team has 1 Divisional Finance Director, 1 Divisional Business Manager, 1 Divisional Management Accountant and 1 Divisional Assistant Management Accountant. It supports 3 divisions in the commercial real estate sector as well as supporting the Future Talent Programmes for the whole UK business.
