Role Overview

The Portfolio Management Team Leader is responsible for leading and performance‑managing the Portfolio Management Team, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and timely delivery of all client onboarding, offboarding, tenancy changes, and managing agent transitions. The role owns these processes end‑to‑end, coordinating closely with mobilisation, property management, and internal teams to deliver seamless client experiences with minimal disruption. A key focus is driving consistency, reducing errors, and maintaining clear audit trails across all activity, using systems such as Zendesk and Optima, while proactively identifying risks and taking action to protect service delivery. This role requires a hands‑on leader who sets clear expectations, manages priorities, and holds the team accountable for performance and outcomes. You will build a high‑performing, engaged team while also developing strong external relationships with suppliers to ensure timely confirmations and resolution of issues. Using data and operational insight, you will continuously improve processes, drive efficiency, and strengthen supplier performance, ensuring the function delivers against tight deadlines and high service standards in a fast‑paced environment.

Team Overview

The Portfolio Management Team Leader manages and leads the wider Portfolio Management Team, responsible for completion of client onboarding and offboarding, as well as change of tenancies and change of managing agents. The team will work closely with the Property Management Mobilisation Team, clients, and wider internal teams to successfully onboard and offboard portfolios, ensuring smooth transitions and alignment with client and business expectations. The team will also aim to ensure that all changes are confirmed as completed by suppliers, maintaining strong relationships and clear communication to support service excellence.
