We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cleaning Operative to join our team at Get Living Birmingham. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of cleaning tasks throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Cleaning Tasks: Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in all areas of the shopping centre. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and replenishing supplies. Empty rubbish bins and replace liners as needed. Clean and polish fixtures, surfaces, and glass doors. Dust and wipe down furniture, fixtures, and surfaces. Clean and sanitize high-touch areas regularly.
- Waste Management: Collect and dispose of waste and recyclables appropriately. Ensure all waste areas are clean and organized.
- Health and Safety: Follow all health and safety regulations and COSHH guidelines. Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and responsibly. Report any hazards, damages, or maintenance issues to site security.
- Customer Service: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with all visitors and staff. Provide assistance to visitors with inquiries or directions as needed.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods. Advantageous
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and cleaning ride-on/walk-behind machinery. Advantageous
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to work independently.
Working Hours: 30 hours/week including weekends
Salary: Β£12.21/ph
