This is a full-time hybrid role for an Associate / Associate Director in Vertical Transportation at Savills and is located in the London and South Coast Region. The Vertical Transportation Consultant role involves tasks related to Vertical Transportation design, project management, condition surveys, planned maintenance programmes, technical due diligence, dilapidations and maintenance management.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Annual maintenance quality audits
  • Site surveys, evaluation and assessment of existing lift and escalator installations
  • Complete site surveys & prepare condition reports, due diligence reports and dilapidation terminal schedules
  • Produce technical and performance specifications
  • Analysis of contractor proposals and production of tender reports
  • Project management of vertical transportation equipment replacement / refurbishments
  • Input and review of property refurbishments and project works
  • Manage internal and external relationships including Client, Savills, local authorities, service providers and statutory bodies
  • Provide technical support & advice to the Savills Surveyor and / or RFM team
  • Review updates in legislation and monitor innovation in the Vertical Transport industry
  • Preparation of fee proposals

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years experience within the Lift and Escalator Industry
  • An NVQ 3 or 4 (or equivalent) within the Lift and Escalator Industry
  • BTEC NC Mechanical or Electrical, or higher qualification
  • Excellent consultancy skills underpinned by appropriate professional qualifications and ongoing learning
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Good understanding of Microsoft word packages
  • Knowledge of JCT contracts
  • Experience with Elevate Traffic Analysis software
